Our stump grinding service is priced at a ballpark rate of $7 per inch of the stump's diameter. However, the location of the stump may affect the price. Stumps in hills or remote areas might cost more due to the increased difficulty.

Do I need to be present during the stump grinding?

No, the homeowner does not need to be present while we grind the stump. We aim to make the process as convenient as possible for you.

How deep do you grind the stumps?

We grind stumps a few inches below grade. This depth is perfect for laying soil and planting new grass. However, it is not deep enough for planting a new tree.

Will there be any part of the stump left after grinding?

Yes, there might be a root flare left after the grinding process. This is because the root system and stump can cover a large surface area.

Can you grind the stump deeper or flatten the root flare?

Yes, we can grind past the exposed part of the stump and flatten the root flare, but this must be specified before we begin the work. Please note that additional costs will apply for this extra service.

What about rocks, concrete, or other hard materials around the stump?

Rocks, concrete, and other hard foreign materials can damage the stump grinder teeth. If these materials are present, please inform us beforehand to prevent equipment damage and ensure a smooth grinding process.

Do you handle the cleanup of the grinding debris?

Cleanup of the grinding debris is not included in the standard service and incurs an additional cost. We can definitely handle the cleanup for you if requested.
